Roach is going to change Khan's body shape

He wants to put more weight on his legs, and less on his upperbody with the ultimate aim of making him more explosive (and less wobble?)

Do you think this will help?

Also in the NOTW article Khan does a Hatton and starts bitching about his old trainers methods and how he questioned them.

I doubt it, the only way to help taking a punch, a little bit, physically to the head is to work those neck muscles but Khan's punch resistance is horrible, I doubt anything would help.

However, Khan refused to blame Rubio — who recommended the big-punching Prescott as his opponent.

“You have to listen to your management team. You get dragged here, dragged there. You get with a coach and you’re not happy. You keep it all in yourself.

“But when I got beaten, I realised it was up to me. My tactics were all wrong.

“Jorge kept changing the game plan. He’d say one thing and then go on to another, so I didn’t know what he was on. I was thinking: ‘What do I do here?’
    Contradictory much?

And it's the right thing to go over to the US to train.

Yeah I'm not suggesting it's going to be a transformation, but I'm just trying to work out Roach's theory behind it.

Either; more explosiveness, or to help anchor him down to the ground, although it would still be the same weight.

If that's the case then I doubt anything would help, as he said, this is just to help his explosiveness, not his ability to take a punch.

It's probably for explosiveness, perhaps a bit more physically strength in his legs so that he won't get pushed around and it could help his punching power a bit.

He aint tight at the weight either from what i know so i dont think moving up does him any favours. Chins do sometimes improve with age and maturity tho but not always.
His best bet is get that Defence ultra tight!

He'll move up sooner or later, he's a big lightweight, he'll be at 140 in a few years' time.

It happens sometimes but I doubt that's going to happen with Khan.

And I agree, he needs great defense to keep that chin safe.

They need to put titanium steel in his chin.

But to be fair it's not just his chin, Khan has been down from punches to the top of the head, the temple and one half arsed hook from Gomez that caught him on the fleshy part of the cheek.

It' physiological, he can't take a punch. Maybe his skull is thinner than the average.
