I'm not comparing Kimbo to a professional boxer but you act as if it never happens in boxing. You also act as if Kimbo was some top MMA fighter.lol they were running into punches with there heads down and their guards dropped you idiot and not returning fire lmao. and khan got hit with a solid punch from a trained puncher you ****ing idiot. and you ignore all the other fights hes destroyed people impressively none of which kimbo has done. not to mnetion its a diffrence in how mma fighters run into punches they actually literally ''run into them'' while boxers get hit by a punch while going in . please dont make me break it down for u.
People get caught but Kimbo got caught because he can't fight.
No need to get so aggressive about it. I'm not saying Kimbo is a great fighter but Kimbo is hardly a great example of what MMA is about.
He is basically the Butterbean of MMA.Last edited by TheGreatA; 10-04-2008, 11:26 PM.Comment

Kimbo and Chuck can both use the "I got caught" excuse...
As long as they realize that they got caught because they both had their chin up in the air and their hands down to their waist.
Probably won't since Liddell still leads in with awkward, looping punches that leave him completely vulnerable to a counter.
At nearly 40 years of age he doesn't quite have the speed and reflexes to get away with it.
Roy Jones "got caught" twice and has since made the right adjustments to keep him from being KO'd again...Last edited by TheGreatA; 10-05-2008, 12:16 AM.Comment

For those numbskulls who still think KIMBO was floored by a jab...think again! This is martial arts! What you saw was the combat application of Bruce Lee's "one-inch punch". Definitely devastating as hell, and can be thrown with one foot off the ground.

No mate ,what lastnight taught us was once a bum allways a bum!first off this is what separates boxing from mma. skill . in boxing the first thing they teach you while sparring is never i mean never run into the path of a scary punchers. never. you find a hole and slip the punches when you go in before you even think about throwing them. a trainer told me sometimes its only tow types of fighter in a fight. someone who knows how to fight and someone whos surviving. and the ones who surviving is the most dangerous. a scary fighter has nothing to lose and he throws punches from all angles its your job to weather the storm find a good spot and select and pick your shots. the exact opposite of what kimbo did tonite. he ran right in the path and took one on the chin and he was done. he showed a lot of honor and didnt make any excuses because he knew he ****ed up. in boxing you never i mean never lower your head and look down with your guard down like what he did tonite. ****ing never. theyll kick you out a gym for that. and thats exactly what mma fighters do. they have all this so called training but no fundamentals or discipline in most cases and they fight wild and risky as ****. mma is cool for entertainment and **** but it will never be referred to as a ''science'' let alone 'THE SWEET SCIENCE''Comment

No. The lesson we've learned is that Boxing Promoters can't handle the unpredictable nature of MMA.
The only thing I'm bummed about is that it wasn't Aaron Rosa in there.Comment
