    sportsbooks had figueroa at +1200
was hoping at least for juanma to get some rounds in.
at this stage of his game this is still considered a good win
    for the up and comer.

      No doubt.

Lopez-Vazquez would be amazing imo. Hey man, can you tell us what Izzy thinks about Juanma and/or about fighting him?

indeed it was a devastating knockout. but who has juanma fought aside from ponce and figueroa? the kid has tremendous power but its too early to tell if he can rule the division like vazquez. it would be exciting to see juanmalopez going head-on against israel vazquez, or marquez, arce or penalosa.

i hope juanma's next opponent is any of the boxers i've mentioned.

for now, juanma is another edwin valero of venezuela, a certified japanese chef assassin.

            like it or not.
mexicans should be ashamed of comparing themselves (a country 1000 times larger) to an "island that measures 35 miles by 100 miles" Now we know where delahoto gets it from!!!! It' in the RAZA!!!!!!

One spectacular knockout by a very gifted Puerto Rican fighter against someone who nobody regards as a threat, and all the Puto Ricans come out of hiding.

Where were you cats June 27th?

LOL counting fights where PR knocks out a bum. Why don't you count the ones that actually mattered?? Other than Tito KOing Vargas or Wilfredo Gomez against Zarate/Pintor, thats it. What about the times "Macho" fought a Mexican? He wasn't so Macho then was he?

check your stats "vato" GOMEZ knocked out about 15 of your kin folks in a row. Not only Carlos and Lupe. And for being an island as small as it is? PR is and always will be a major factor in life and in the boxing world. 35x100 AMAZING

I'm sure if we pore over great Mexican boxers records, we can find victories over unheralded Puerto Rican fighters as well.

But yea, lets talk about Gomez.

What happened when he faced a fighter of equal caliber of Mexican descent?
