Of course to make things simple... there is nothing in gayweather's resume which comes even near compared to names like MORALES, BARRERA or JMM.

The Ring doesn't have a mandatory policy, so nothing could force Judah or Baldomir to fight Margarito.

Baldomir was the WBC mandatory for Judah, so he got that fight.

Baldomir wanted a big pay day, so he fought Floyd instead of Margarito.

Yep. baldomir was a no name, but he earned his WBC shot and won, so he deserved a couple payday fights. Zab had regained his shine wit the WW title win over Spinks, and PBF moved up to cash in. Zab blew his tune up wit Baldomir, but the PBF-Zab fight was still bankable so it went down. PBf won, and knew he'd have an easier time beatin Baldomir for the Ring/WBC belts than Marg for his WBO belt.
