Jones-Trinidad was probably the biggest, and most memorable, fight that happened in NY this year, I still think they should have done Margarito-Cotto there. The upcoming Jones-Calzaghe fight should be a bit more memorable than Jones-Trinidad.

That's what I was thinking, but I have on clue why he would only narrow it down to NY alone.

in nyc alone then its definatly jones -v- trinidad.
but if your talking everywhere this year then its gotta be cotto -v- margerito, that was a classic, another memorable moment was the last second of the fight ko by sugar shane mosley agaisnt ricardo mayorga.

I narrowed it down to NYC because I'm a writer looking for two fighters who embody the meaning of boxing. I want to tell the story of their lives, their careers, their struggles and their victories/defeats. I want to find fighters who have fought recently, in a fight that people still talk about and say, "Wow that was a great fight." I need boxers who are accessible and are willing to sit down and talk to me. Any ideas?

They don't have to be big names and the fights didn't have to happen at big venues- like I said, just meaningful in the boxing world.
