Fact of Matters Margarito gets too much credit for trying, but look at Margaritos big fights or opponets. Clottey, win a close decision, Willliams lost, santos loss and the Cotto win. The only good win in his carrer is that Cotto Ko and he got lucky that Cotto got out of his game and got gassed. No hating on Margo but compare Margos resume to Cottos. and you will see whos the better of the 2.

and the ankle injury happened about 10 days before the fight. To this day he still wears a brace for it. It originally happened before the Lujan fight and has never really gotten better but when he rolled it it was pretty severe

Forget about the body work. Cotto needs to clinch more. If he clinches then he can set up more openings with body punching. If anything he can at least jab to the body more.

I sort of believe him though, Marg was protecting his body and leaving his dome wide open. Clottey even had a difficult time. The only time he was able to really land was when he doubled and tripled his hooks up.
