That part I can understand, then again, I think the only piece of news that has come true from you is that Mundine would drop down to middleweight.Comment

If he moves up, AA will move up too...
I thought that I've seen an interview with Kelly not long ago (the link has been posted in one of the threads in the forums on east********.com) in which he said that he will focus on fighting Abraham after Hopkins...weird.Comment

Because we've got young, successful middleweights who are big for the division and have trouble making weight as they continue filling out in their mid-late twenties?
I know what you're implying and it's laughable.Comment

Its laughable? How? It's actually happening. Calzaghe has left the division and all of a sudden American boxers are leaping into it. I would add that last time I checked, Joe Calzaghe was regarded as one of the best three fighters on the planet and would be favourite to defeat any of the current MWs or SMWs. That being so I don't see how the idea that they might not want to enter a division in which they would not be able to beat the best guy is laughable. What makes it so?Comment

Have you considered that maybe Calzaghe is finally LEAVING the division and retiring after invading a much OLDER division precisely because some good MWs are moving up to his division? Its laughable? How? It's actually happening. Calzaghe has left the division and all of a sudden American boxers are leaping into it. I would add that last time I checked, Joe Calzaghe was regarded as one of the best three fighters on the planet and would be favourite to defeat any of the current MWs or SMWs. It could work both ways.
I, for one, don't think there's any connection whatsoever. Taylor and Pavlik's fight above the MW limit was months before Joe announced he would not return to 168. Taylor hinted at his intentions to move up to 168 during training for the first Pavlik fight in the summer of 2007, and confirmed those intentions immediately after the fight.
It's laughable that you believe either Taylor or Pavlik is scared of an aging Calzaghe when they've each shown zero hesitation to fight the top p4p guys.
This is seriously one of your weaker theories in a while.Comment
