        They were both okay fights. Barrera-Morales 2 was a lot closer, so it had suspense in the 2nd half of the fight, unlike the one-sided Gatti-Ward 2.

        The runner-up for fight of the year for 2002 behind Gatti-Ward 1 was probably De La Hoya-Vargas
