Oscar De La Hoya does not plan to retire for quite some time. The former six-division champion told BoxingScene.com's Bill Emes, among others, that he plans to continue his career as an active fighter beyond the upcoming Dec. 6 bout with WBC lightweight champion Manny Pacquiao. At the start of the year, De La Hoya announced that he would fight three times in 2008 and then retire. The first bout in May was a decision win over Steve Forbes, the planned September rematch with Floyd Mayweather Jr. was shelved when Mayweather retired from the sport. Then came the December fight with Pacquiao, originally the date for De La Hoya's final career bout. [details]

Wait, wasnt the original plan a farewell fight to end his career. Now its looking like "The public might even buy into my scheme with Pacquiao, maybe I can cash in on a couple of more easier competitors and call them World Wide events that can save boxing."

this is olden boy's biggest fight. not trinidad, mosley, ugly boy floyd, or hopkins. olden boy is still hoping ugly boy floyd will come out of retirement and fight him. but if he loses to pacman on december 6 ugly boy floyd will never fight him, instead ugly boy floyd will fight pacquiao.
oscar has no reason to lose. he has all what it takes to beat pacman. but he must be extra careful, because pacman always has magic in his fists.
if olden boy loses on december 6, many mexicans will disown him as some already did.
that's the reason why this is oscar' biggest fight. his honor is at stake here.

Hahahaha ODLH still not sure if he can demolish Pacman in this coming bout (Dec. 6), as the article published "Oscar De La Hoya Plans To Continue, Win or Lose" means that he is doubtfull if he can really win this one against the Pacman...
Hey "Mr Golden Crocodile" If I were you stop pretending and stop making gayist descisions.
