This was a refreshing breath of air from Haye.

To the earlier posts: I don't think he's saying that he's going to stand there and let the guy hit him, only that it's unrealistic to think that a fighter can make it through an entire match without getting touched. Especially if the opponent is competant.

ironic based on Ray Austin's recent performances and Ibragimov,Thompson

Wlad has fought 3 straight bums

Ibragimov, who held a world title and won a Silver Medal at the 2000 Olympics, is far from being a bum. Wlad's fight with Sultan was a heavyweight unification.

Thompson was Wladimir's WBO mandatory and is actually a very good fighter. He wanted to be Haye's opponent and was ducked!

Austin was Wlad's IBF mandatory. He's shot now after 1 1/2 years of inactivity, but he was actually more of a fringe contender/journeyman than a real bum. He had draws with a couple of decent fighters.

Bonin, who was KOed by Fraudley Harrison, is a clearly a bum.

nice out-of-context quote for the title.

haye is basically saying after a few of barretts punches bounce off his chin we'll see if he can take a HW shot or not. the title makes it sound like he's claiming barretts punches won't effect him.

I think Haye is a bit confused, his chin is much more glass than it is rubber. Since Barret has been stopped twice in the last two years by guys not known for their power, I've no doubt that Haye will get him out of there early. I'm not sure how Barret is still getting big fights when he couldn't last two rounds with clubfighter Cliff Couser, but hey, it might still be entertaining, while it lasts.

Ibragimov would not have got near a HW belt in Tyson,Holyfield,Lewis,Bowe era he was champion because of how poor the division is

Thompson is old and slow as hell he could not catch a cold

Bonin is a bum but he aint much worse than Austin,Thompson and Ibragoimov is just akward not particularly good at all

"But I look at Evander Holyfield, one of my idols, and how he coped with it. He was an exceptional little man fighting good big men and I would like to think of myself in the same category. It’s a massive gamble. It could go violently pear-shaped in 20 seconds or I’ll be like the best thing since Mike Tyson - that’s why people are interested in the fight," Haye said.
A bit early to speculate about being the next Mike Tyson.

Wow, is Haye the most honest man in the sport today or what. I just became a fan. I do hope he is a little more confident on the inside though.

Where have you been? This man has been oozing confidence, this is the most humble he has ever been.
