Typical internet tough guy who thinks he has the inside scoop yet doesn't know **** in the grand scheme of things. Last time I checked Arlovski is a professional athlete whos training with one of the top coaches out there. Apparently Roach sees something in him...hes in Arlovski's corner during fights now, attends the press conferences for him and has said nothing but positive things. Somehow a random boxing fan on a message board knows the real truth though. Maybe he should approach Arlovski in person and let him his thoughts on his boxing future.Comment

But seriously, it remains to be seen if Arlovski ever will go pro in Boxing.
his debut was supposed to happen September 13th on the JMMarquez/Casamayor under card .. however because of his October MMA date the boxing fight was canceled
and old news but that October Affliction MMA fight date was also cancelled
and now Arlovski has a fight on CBS vs Nelson in October. with a chance to potentially take on Fedor or Barnett in 2009
so why and when would Arlovski start up his boxing career, because if you look at his fight schedule for the upcoming months, and carrying over into 2009
why would he waste time on boxing when he's already a well established fighter in MMA?Comment

this forum is for making opinions. i didn't see the memo where it said only boxing experts could have an opinion.
i've been watching mma since my early teens and i've been watching boxing a lot younger than that.
i can tell the difference between the level of boxing of professional boxers and an mma fighter.
andrei arlovski had problems getting by tim sylvia's reach.
yes sylvia is 6'8 but i think we can all agree that sylvia's boxing level is not very high.
btw he had problems with sylvia in mma where he can grapple and wrestle. in boxing no such options.
do you watch actual boxing and mma? mma fighters are very skilled but their boxing ability is kinda limited. they are predominantly wrestlers and bjj guys after all. even the best strikers in mma aren't boxers they're muay thai or kick boxers.Comment

First of all fighting Tim Sylvia in MMA with 4oz gloves isn't the same as boxing him. Lets not pretend thats a direct equation here...and please don't use "Oh it was mostly standup ...that means its boxing" Its not boxing. Just because Gabriel Gonzaga beat Mirko CroCop in standup in MMA doesn't mean that would translate to an actual Kickboxing match. Theres tons of other factors that get factored in.....Lets see Tim Sylvia fight Arlovski in an actual Boxing ring, with Boxing gloves, 3 min rounds.....that would determine whos a better boxer.....not who won an MMA fight.

Because its ******ed to say "Arlovski can never make it as a boxer" when you never seen him actually box. You don't train him and you never sparred with him. You're making a statement based on nothing but he had problems with Tim Sylvia's reach in MMA.Comment
