MANAGUA - The world champion welter of the World Boxing Council (CMB), the Mexican Antonio Margarito, was uninterested in promoting a fight with the Nicaraguan Ricardo Mayorga, who lost by NOCAUT last Saturday.

MANAGUA -- El campeón mundial welter del Consejo Mundial de Boxeo (CMB), el mexicano Antonio Margarito, se declaró desinteresado en promover una pelea con el nicaragüense Ricardo Mayorga, quien perdió por nocaut el sábado pasado.
Antonio Margarito dijo a la crónica deportiva en Managua que "no me interesa pelear con Mayorga" porque no es un rival que valga la pena enfrentar.
"No le gana a nadie (Mayorga) y no le gana porque es un borracho perdido que no entrena. Ese tipo no anda en nada", aseguró.
El nicaragüense había retado al mexicano, a quien llamó "taxista" y "mariachi" y que le derrotaría en los primeros asaltos, en un eventual encuentro.
"Ni ganando su corona resulta atractivo Margarito. Nadie la hace caso a ese pobre taxista", había afirmado el púgil centroamericano.
Ricardo Mayorga cayó el sábado ante la fuerza y técnica de Shane Mosley, en los últimos segundos del fin de la pelea.
