People bought the fight because they seen a trash talking man on the 24/7 series and ESPN also hyped it like hell. If it gets the same treatment it will do very good, close to 1.5 mil probably. Didnt DLH say the fight would make like 2mill PPV? And thats why the purse slpit was fair for Manny? Well yesterday I was at a dinner of my friends girlfriend. I was in the living room with some of her family and somehow we got to talking about boxing. I asked them what they thought about Oscar fighting Manny and they said they didnt know who Pac was. Then I showed them how tall DLH is and how tall Pac is. I gave them a list of names of what fighters they know of and they only knew DLH, mayweather(they ordered DLH-MAY),Tyson, Hopkins, mosley, Jones, JCC, vargas, andy kolle. Although Im sure i left some other names out that they would have known of. I think DLH was trying to tell Manny it was going to be another DLH-MAY. In order for a fight to become a huge success, you either have to be known by the casual fan, because they are the people who make fights a huge success, or you have introduce yourself to the people with an attractive image and character. The problem is that people will see that DLH is fighting some midget china man that speaks no english. Theres a **** load of Filipinos and they already bought out MSG, but theres not that many flips. I cant say what the numbers will be but im guessing itll go above 800k. DLH is trying really hard to promote this fight but hey Oscar, you cant hype a mismatch...i think. Overall, Manny still gets paid good money.
