2. Ali's brother, Rahman Ali, lost his final pro fight in 1972 on an 8th round stoppage at the hands of Jack O' Halloran. O' Halloran was best known as the huge guy that was the nameless villain/enemy of Superman in "Superman 2" with Christopher Reeve.
3. Joe Byrd also fought the promoter generally credited with bringing Don King into the game, Don Elbaum, beating him on a four round decision back in his (Byrd's) pro debut in 1964. Elbaum fought three pro fights back in the 1960's, including one fight in 1969 that actually saw him fill in as a replacement on his own show when one of the prelim guys fell out.
