Seeing as Taylor is a poorer version of Kessler, I have this a wiiiiiide UD. Probable stoppage.
Calzaghe vs Taylor at 168

The Taylor that fought Pavlik in the rematch would have beaten Calzaghe. Joe himself even admitted that he is better when his opponent comes forward and he would have to be the aggressor against Jermain, because he normally fights at the pace of his opponent and adapts from that. He is a straight puncher, a hard puncher and a counter puncher. Three ingredients that spells trouble for MR. Calzaghe. Take nothing from the Pavllik fight because Pavlik is an absolute monster that Joe is even accused of avoiding and judging by what he is doing, i actually believe that now. I have nothing against Joe, but i think Taylor and Pavlik would beat him.
No offense to Kessler but Taylor shows will and the ability to come back from a losing position, something that Kessler didn't show against Calzaghe.Last edited by slicksouthpaw16; 09-30-2008, 03:51 AM.Comment

It's a rather big leap to go from Calzaghe preferring to be the aggressor to Taylor winning if he makes Calzaghe do so. Plenty have tried that tactic and 0 have succeeded. I wouldn't even put Taylor in the top 8 of Calzaghe's opponents.
I also just can't see how Pavlik beats him.Comment

Your user name of Flawless 2 amuses me. It should be flawed as everything you post is. The fact it's 2 as in a second account, already with a red bar underlines that.
This post further advertises your utter ******ity and bias. You essentially use a reason for a fighter you don't like, losing to someone, as he supposedly ducked another fighter whom most believe he'd beat comfortably.
A factor that is not something in the ring to judge someone on and a fallacy. Lacks any actual merit in the topic, and clearly just subjective thinking of dislike steering a skewed view.
Despite Calzaghe actually facing bigger hitters, taking harder shots from Kessler and never coming close to being stopped, you then say a lighter, weaker Taylor would somehow stop him.
This has to be the single most self owning post I think I've ever seen on the internet.Last edited by Kris Silver; 09-30-2008, 04:01 AM.Comment
