Just watched Mosley when he was p4p #1

I just watched Shane Mosley vs Antonio Diaz. This was Mosley after he beat Oscar the first time and was Ring Magazine's p4p#1 fighter.

Man Mosley was amazing back then. He was even more amazing at lightweight. He kept switching from orthadox to southpaw, his defense was better than it is now, and his speed and power was incredible.

This made one thing veyr clear to me after watching Shane Saturday. Hes deffinately past his prime and should hang them up.

People saying Shane is overrated are out of their minds and probably didnt watch boxing when Shane was in his prime and base it on recent fights. Shane Mosley was an amazing fighter.

No, it's because he often does get overrated. He was an excellent fighter, but his lightweight opposition was weak. He lacks the achievements to be one of the greats in history at 135. Mosley said he was actually more comfortable at welterweight, because he was going through a lot of hell to make 135. He looked pretty damn good at WW anyway until he met his nemesis in Vernon Forrest.

Mosley always had his flaws as a fighter, it just took the right guy with the right game plan to show it. DLH fought a ****** fight when he fought Shane in 2000. Even in his prime, Mosley still pawed too damn much with his jab and left himself open down the middle quite a lot. He winged too many shots and got away with sloppy things. He's never been the brightest guy in there. He had such immense physical gifts and talent that his flaws were overlooked and didn't matter.

yup, mosley was a master boxer. I don't know if ppl forget it or its just the new young generation that didn't see him fight in his prime that say these ridiculous things about him and also about alot of other fighters that are past their primes now like hopkins. even hopkins now is such a horrible fighter but man was he a great fighter to watch in his prime. ppl need to gain some boxing knowledge before forming opinions.
