Mosley never lived up to the "sugar" nickname anyway, does anyone think Leonard or Robinson would have lost to Forrest or Winky. Leonard never had great power he would take guys out with volume punches so IMO your criteria doesnt work for the only fighter that truely earned the right to be compared to the greatest fighter ever.
The next fighter to hold the title "sugar"?

He still had power in his hands as opposed to being feather fisted, Ray had good power at 147 it diminshed above that weight. Mosely started at LW Ray & Ray started at WW 154 is a pretty high way to go up. Imagine Juan Diaz, Campbell or Marquez going up 154 to take on Forrest or Wright.Mosley never lived up to the "sugar" nickname anyway, does anyone think Leonard or Robinson would have lost to Forrest or Winky. Sorry what's that an excuse for Mosley? Imagine the 2 rays going from 147 to 160 and beating the best middleweight in the world, oh wait that happened. Or imagine both rays being so good that Leonard was the best 168 lb'er in the world and Robinson damn near won the 175 lbs title before the heat stopped him. Mosley cant and never has been able to compare to those guys.He still had power in his hands as opposed to being feather fisted, Ray had good power at 147 it diminshed above that weight. Decent character. No one ever thought of calling Mike Tyson "Sugar". Being brown. Both Edison Miranda and Ricky Hatton have no chance of being called sugar (ironically refined sugar is white) as they are both ways out of the spectra for the "sugar" business. Being fluid. This may be included in "Great combinations" but here it is just in case.Shane will retire soon he has a handful of fights left in him after he retire who would you expect to live up to or inheirit the nickname sugar? Be it prospect or Champion?
And what would you say the traits of a "sugar" are?
mine are
Iron chin
Power
Great combinations (definatly this one)
Handspeed
Willingness to face anyone
