Can someone explain the Boxing award : WBO, WBA , IBF , etc

As only recently becoming a serious boxing fan., ive never really understood all the boxing titles, like WBO, WBA, IBF , etc

Does anyone mind explaining breifly the differences between them and most rescognised / respected etc.

    Thanks

the most respected is the WBC, after that the WBA, WBO and IBF. Many ppl might have a different order but it'll be more or less like that.

They are just corrupt sanctioning bodies that charge boxers ridiculous fees to be title holders.

For ex., Vitali Klitschko hasnt fought in over 4 YEARS! but he's getting a crack at the WBC belt because he was their "champion emeritus", some bull**** political jargon.

      Good luck.

        Most people rank it:

        1. WBC
        2. WBA
        3. IBF
        4. WBO

But **** them all. They're all as bad as each other. The Ring Magazine Belt is the one that counts. Its the lineal championship - the man who beat the man who beat the man.

They are all world championship organizations. All of the organizations, however, are equally scum. So most of the boxing public considers this:

as the true world championship belt.

WBC, WBA, WBO, IBF are the main respected titles. WBC or WBA are the most respected but really it's irrlevant WBC and WBA are just as corrupt and worth the same now as the IBF and WBO.

I would agree with those ppl saying the Ring belt is the most credible one but I dont know how I feel about that anymore ever since Golden Boy took over.........

WBO is brown, WBA is black, IBF is red, WBC is green lol. Nah, but like everybody else says, no real difference. The Ring belt is the one that counts most. The belts are basicall bargaining chips for fighters during negotiations, and wearable toll booths for the bigwigs to leech $ off of them for. Hell the WBA calls a unified champ a 'super' champ and then allows for defense of the 'regular' title. lol
