He hasnt done anything at 160 to deserve a shot at Pavlik's title just yet. He still needs to clean up some other guys. Let him fight a Miranda and see if his beard really is tough. Let him fight a Taylor or a Sturm. Lets see him do something at MW before he gets a shot at Pavlik. there are other guys in that division that deserve a shot before Williams.....Lefty

I was simply replying to thread itself saying that Pavlik ducked out....Kelly had a long hard road to get the title and two very gruling fights with Taylor. he had a tune up with Enzo Clazaghes boy last time out and now he is taking on Hopkins. He is going for big money fights and Hopkins even at what 43 is still no slouch. So Williams should keep his mouth shut about Pavlik and tend to business what ever business he has with who ever will fight him at 147 or 154 or 160 and just keep winning fights. He needs to make himself a household name. To fans like you and me we already know who Paul the Punisher Williams is but you ask you avergae fight fan or even better yet the average chic who paul Williams is and she will say huh??? But you ask her who Oscar De la hoya is or Shane Mosely and the average fight fan or even women fight fan will know who these guys are. Pavlik seeing all the publicity he got ove the Taylor wins I believe he is a house hold name. Middle Wieght Undusputed Champ White man from Ohio. We have all seen the sotry played out on HBO and on ESPN. Williams is no where near that point and because he is feared and runs his mouth may never get to that point. God forbid he gets knocked out or beat by a lesser opponent Arum and the rest of the promoters will bury his career so far under the dirt you will never see Williams again. he said he wants BIG fights, so why is every1 taking this **** so personal. yea there may actually be middleweights who deserve a shot at pavlik, but if PW is impressive in november, and pavlik beats 'nard, this will be the biggest fight either man would get at this point.....

if pavlik wins and he doesn't get calzaghe-rjj, a fight with paul williams will be the biggest fight out there 4 him. all he is doing is trying to make that more of a possibility by talking **** about pavlik, who we kno wont duck any1, and is by the way, talking **** to get a fight w/ calzaghe.......everybody needs to calm the **** down..........

Williams is one of my favorite fighters right now due to his willingness to face anyone any weight he can make as well as his definite ambition to please us boxing fans but I doubt Kelly Pavlik thought it wouldve been a risky fight to take and wanted to back down.

Pavlik would probably KO Williams pretty early.He simply too strong and can take a great shot.
