Not necessarily, it's not what you can do but who you know. If you have a good manager, he will give you a per diem every month to hold you over while you train for fights. Of course you can almost always expect to see that money deducted from your purses afterwards.

Being an exciting ko puncher as you put it means nothing if you don't have proper management. I know plenty of guys like that working at car washes.

I went to a boxing fight a month ago and VIP seating was $35.00. There were about 5 fights in total. I don't think those pro fighters made a lot of money.

like it was said earlier a lot of factors go into it but if quick $$$ is your goal your waaaaaay better off being a "journeyman" a tomato can , its like getting paid to give the a side fighter a workout your not supposed to win just last a couple rds and DONT GET HURT. In CO a journeyman who does his job can fight twice a month making $1000-$1500 a fight. As for prospects (under 10 bouts) they usually need a sponsor, trainer ,manager or a team supporting them. For example I know a up and comer who is sponsored by a group of local business men. One owns a used car lot so he provided a vehicle another owns some rental properties so he provided an apartment for the fighter. If your a prospect lucky enough to get support it will only be enough to live and train off of.

What about the guys who headline Shobox or something like that? Are they in the 10k or more range at that point?
