So because Shane said he wanted to fight Margarito, it was a done deal? I didnt know that. Last I read Shane wasn't even in Arum's plans.

Clottey did well until the hand injury, I give him that. But I'm not entirely sure it was Clottey's amazing ability, or Margarito's notoriously slow starts. Probably a little of both.

Still, no way he takes 1st place over a Williams match. They're #1 and #2 depending on which one you rank first.

It's mainly because of the question of whether Clottey could have won had he not hurt his hands.

I thought so. Clottey is good, don't get me wrong. But I think the result would've been the same hand injury or no hand injury. A rematch now would only be easier for Marg IMO because he's doing his best to get off to faster starts.

off a long layoff too, that doesnt change the fact he lost the 5 rounds. an in-fight injury has more impact then a lingering on you know u have.

Hard to say, Clottey became much more conservative after hurting his hands, allowing Margarito to take control of the fight. I think if they fought now and both were 100% healthy, it'd be a pretty close fight, a good one as well.

Could be. To tell you the truth I don't follow Clottey much. I saw the Margarito and Judah fights, that was it. I just don't care to see him fight, not sure why.

I still think Williams should be the top choice though, though Marg's fight in January '09 is likely to be a tuneup.
