Larry Merchant is the same guy who, in excitement, screamed, "IT'S OVER!!!" when Roy got knocked out by Tarver.

Merchant's just mad because Floyd called it quits before it ever got to that point.

He fought Baldy and he fought Oscar who is bigger then a WW. I cant believe everyone knocks Floyd for the Oscar fight when Oscar is bigger then a WW. Thats dumb.

Anyways, I put Floyd in the same boat as Berto and I cant believe that no one else does. Manny & Jim said tonight that they dont think Berto will ever have a chance against someone like Margarito or a huge WW because he is just too small, yet those are the same guys who would rip Floyd for not fighting Margarito and he's smaller then Berto. He's a inch taller but clearly has a smaller frame. Its just not fair to ask Floyd to fight these guys. I believe Floyd would fight guys like Margarito all day if they were the size of Berto, Mosley, and guys like that but there not. There huge and Floyd isnt. Thats why all those guys want to fight him. I even believe that Floyd would still fight them if they were big but didnt really use there size, like Clottey does. I believe that Floyd would fight someone like Clottey if he was a big name because Clottey is huge but he doesnt bully you with his size so its not really much of a factor but guys like Margarito & Cotto use there weight and size against you so its different

                Baldomir the journeyman.
DLH who USED to be a welterweight.
Castillo and Corrales who moved up to welterweight when they were washed up
Hatton who was a welterweight at the time but not a particularly good one
And......that's about it. Not so impressive if you think about it.

what are you talkin about man? Castillo & Chico? Why are you going so far back? The way you are saying it is like he fought at WW his whole career. He fought in 5 divisions and most of it was from 130-140
