C'mon man, you got waaaay more sense than that, what makes you think Margarito is ducking Williams? he already fought that fool and made Williams sweat for that win. At this point of his career Tony deserves a nice big payday, that is why he's been weighting out his options, he is after all the #1 at 147. The $4Mill deal was bull****, nobody knows the real details of that offer, Tony was not getting paid $4Mill, after Top Rank's cut and all other **** Tony would probably end up getting paid $1.5Mill or so. I agree a Williams-Margarito rematch NEEDS to happen, and soon, but don't say he's ducking Williams, that's total bull**** and you know it.

Sounds su****iously like what Floyd fans said about Arums 8 million deal to fight Floyd. Interesting.

Its been reported that Margarito isnt fighting till next year right? So why not take the offer to fight Paul Williams THIS year, then do what he has to do next year?

Of course $4mil doesnt mean $4mil. Not for ANY fighter.

Could be, promoters are crooked greedy ****s so I wouldn't be surprised if it was a bluff, however the deal was put on the table and Floyd didn't take it so we would never know if either deal was true or not, we are only left to assume.

Not at all. I actually like Tony and give him his props for that win, but he really needs to reedem himself against Williams. When Floyd was looking for money fights instead of career defining fights, many bashed him (including YOU and myself) for it. Funny how now u want Margarito to focus on big payday fights, rather than redeeming himself against the guy who made him look like a bobblehead doll. Yes Margarito came on late in that fight, but it was too little too late. For the first 6-7 rounds, Williams had your boy looking like a bobblehead doll.

What happened Shalafi? Did i strike a nerve with the "bobblehead" comment, or did my post make so much sense, that you have no reply for it? LOL.

it is, well at least to me, which is why I understood why Floyd made his choice and to be honest why Tony made his.

the offer, from what I understand, was that the 4 million was to go to Bob NOT Tony and Bob was to pay his fighter out of that PLUS be the lead promoter. From that understanding, smart move on Goossen's part, I have to think Bob would have taken the lion's share of it and cite that he had to promote this fight.
