remember.....Casamayor looked kinda poor against Nate Campbell.
It was that fight that lead me to believe he was a dead man against Chico. He came alive for Corrales.

I sense he took the Seda fight lightly. He was handling Seda very easily, that's why he got careless/dropped....& let Seda get back ino the fight.

I think we'll see a very good Casamayor for this fight, but he's taking on a bit too much in Castillo.

Casamayor could win this fight if he decides to box and move more and not get caught up in a brawl with Castillo. Good movement can make Castillo look silly in the ring. I not saying Casamayor is as good as Mayweather but the times that Mayweather moved and didn't stay in one place he had Castillo frustrated. Casamayor is a very good boxer and mover if he wants to but lately he has been trying to be a brawler which is why the Seda fight was closer than expected. Even in the Seda fight when Casamayor boxed he was winning. While I still say Castillo by close decision it wouldn't surprise me if Casamayor won by about a 116-112 margin if he boxes and not try to slug it out.

I'd for one, like to see both of them win a couple of big fights and pick up some more hardware before having the rubbermatch (Chico-Casa that is). I'd hate to see one of their careers obstructed by a second loss to the other. I guess that would all be out the window though if one of them was beaten badly in the meantime, but I don't see that happening. There are a lot of good fights available right now at 135, and even more possible considering the talent lurking at 130. I'd like to see as many different fights as possible between these guys (Castillo, Chico, Morales, Casa, Diaz, etc) perhaps a tournament similar to the one at Middleweight in 2001. I'm sure this is all a bit unrealistic, but ideally I'd like to see something like that climaxing with Chico-Casa 3 for the Undisputed Lightweight Title

high gang, new to board had a few quick questions, #1 how do you earn points, #2 whats the deal with karma? i believe Castillo will destroy casa based simply on the facts that he alot bigger, he entered the lazcano fight damn near welterweight limit and his skills are often overlooked

Actually he entered that fight just a shade under the Junior Middle limit, but I did'nt think he looked terribly sharp -- granted he did handle the tough Lazcano without much trouble. Anyway, I think size or not, he'll have to be a lot slicker and quicker to do that to Casa.

I hope like hell they do! I believe that Casamayor can win the rubber match; Gossen leaving his camp and immediately going to work for Diego was a bad thing for Joel considering it happened right before the rematch. He was able to train Diego to fight a particular style that was sure to beat Joel cause he knows Joel so well and if Joel can make the correct adjustments I dont think having Gossen in his corner (chico's) will help him very much the third time around. Just my opinion.......
I still believe having him as his trainer gave him (chico) a hugh advantage that normally he wouldnt have had.
