Why does Kelly Pavlik get more attention, praise and hype than Chad Dawson?

It's more to do with Dawson being on Showtime. Being white can never bring an athlete more attention.

Because he has power, and people like watching boxing fights where people knock each other out in.

Pavlik is more entertaining, he knocked out the ex-HBO posterboy, and is the middleweight champ, which is one of boxings glamor divisions.

Its really that simple. If Dawson woops Tarver, im sure the hype train will start moving for him as well. and a boring decision wont do it.

Pavlik is the undisputed Middleweight of the world....His wins over former undisputed champ Jermaine Taylor are more impressive than anything on Dawson's resume.

Dawson got a gift decision in his last fight against 40 year old Glen Johnson....Tons of people had Johnson winning that fight.

Both fighter are great and all, But Dawson is missing that big win like Pavlik had with Jermain Taylor. One problem with Dawson is that there is nobody the LH division besides Calzaghe that is a big name. Also Dawson is a Showtime fighter, just wait till he is on HBO.
