    thats a better question.
a shot casamayor is better than a prime , most anybody else fighter, at 135, Casamayor beats about most fighters at 135, even if shot, so this is still a very good victory for Marquez, Better than David Diaz, Katsidis, Juarez, Barrios, R.Campbell, Julio Diaz, Carlos Hernandez(making comeback to box), etc.

JMM fans are bull**** and dumb! Trying to compare the difference in age.. if it's about the age, Pac beat a Prime MAB and Morales when they were 28. He beat Marquez twice. Do you mean JMM's prime is when he fought Norwood and Chris John? It's not on the age, its about if your body can still compete at the highest level or not..

The poll speak for itself. Casamayor is shot.. If a Prime Castillo and Corrales were unable to knock him down or hurt him how can Marquez can? That's what Marquez is doing, making his name against old fighters.

To me it was two past their prime fighters fighting each other. Sounds pretty even. Unlike some one that is involved in prime vs past prime fights and gets his hype from that.

Did you even see the fight? Did he look shot in that fight? he did real good and if he would of made it to the scorecards without the kockdowns it would of been a close fight.

I don't believe Casamayor was shot, but he's getting there.

No he wasn't at all. Past his prime.

He lost to santa cruz mostly due to Ring Rust. He looked pretty impressive against Katsidis in what was supposed to be domination by Katsidis. That and he was competitive with Marquez. That in itself should be an indication that he isn't shot.

Neither was Barrera for that matter.

being past your prime is not being shot. i would say casa was past his best but no way is he shot. still casa was recognized as the lightweight world champion and is a very good win for jmm anyway because old casa > prime david diaz

Casa ofcourse fought the more dangrous and in they're prime opponents. Casa was very far from what he used to be and JMM...honestly, I didn't see much of a difference
