I don't think so, Quintana was a bigger name because he held a title (i think) even after getting beaten by Cotto and was considered a big prospect. Clottey is a big name only now.

Clottey gave Margs hell but he still lost (i know he had a broken hand) but still Clottey didn't have a title and he lost to a man Paul already beat. Cotto at the time was the top dog at WW what better way to call Cotto out than beat the man he beat better? (ofcourse he lost though)
