How good was Kevin Kelley?

I've always thought of him as a pretty good fighter, but I have seen him fight twice (Hamed and Morales) and he really didn't do a tremendous job in either one. I know he knocked Hamed down a few times (Hamed's balance sucks ass, he wasn't really hurt), but he fought the 100% wrong fight. He fought with his chin out and was being hit at will almost, because he loves to engage, even though it is not beneficial to him at all.

I know he got KO'd by Barrera as well.

I have heard that all of those were when he was past his prime, but, still... I am not aware of any huge wins he got in his prime, so...

What does Kevin Kelley have to hang his hat on for his career accomplishment?

He was a good fighter, fast, slick southpaw, he was also a very smart fighter. He opened the door for a lot of boxers on BAD, he advised HBO to match up Barrera and McKinney in they're first ever BAD, which was obviously very successful.

i thought he was very good (loved hammed kelley).. i think he went like 41-0 before losing a match and fought with ppl liek barrera morales hammed ..and even koed derrick ganier and beat humberto soto and carolos hernandez ..so 2 say he is a bum is just disrespectful ..i think hes a pretty well accomplished fighter

He was good but hamed ko'd him easily, hamed was just off balance when kelly kncoked him down. And thats not good because hamed really sucks bad. Barrera exposed him and barrera was even in his prime, but hamed was.
