P. Williams vs. M. Cotto @ 147?

They may both be tall but Margarito is an extreme pressure fighter, Paul Williams is not. He doesn't have much punching power despite his last two KO victories so Cotto won't be backing up like he was doing against Margarito.

Paul Williams' style is not the same as Marg's, Cotto by UD or body punch KO.

After their recent performances, cotto getting tko'd by marg in round 11, and williams scoring 2 first round KO's in a row, one being a middleweight, who takes this?

1) how will cotto perform after being battered by Marg?

2) will cotto be highly determined to beat the man who beat him? (williams beating marg)

3) how will williams perform, going back down to 147?

4) will cotto be able to land body shots on williams, and cause damage to williams? something he was unable to do against marg?

5) will cotto have a better chance if he goes back to his usual coming forward style, against williams, or have a better chance by outboxing williams?

6) will williams' new commitment to power punching be able to hurt Cotto?

7) the reach/height difference is pretty high, too.

pwill is even more unrelenting than margarito and has better defence than margarito. pwill will beat cotto.

i think Cotto would win because again im a huge believer of the idea that styles make fights. not that williams is a great matchup for Cotto but against Williams he would be able to fight inside unlike in the margarito fight because i believe williams can be hurt and i dont think he could take the Cotto's punches like margarito could although well few fighters can do that. Williams can fight inside too but maybe im crazy but i think Cotto has as much power as Williams so he's not at that big as disadvantage in that area. and i dont understand people that say that Cotto cant take other people's punches because man i was surprised that Cotto was able to take all the damage he took throught that fight against margarito and still make it to the 11th, Cotto showed he can take a lot of damage! i think people's problem here is that they saw the great clean shots that margarito took and it makes them think that Cotto's is a wuss for going down against less damage when in reality great body punching is a lot more damaging and wears down your body so ****in fast that its scary! Basically the fight would comedown to the fact if Williams could control the fight with his great jab because if its a fight fought on the outside then Williams dominates this fight easily because of his great reach! but if Cotto gets inside then he has the advantage and he is more skilled than williams so he can set up a lot of different ways n combos to hurting williams. Thats how i think Cotto wins fighting him tough and with skill inside!

If this fight happens I think it would be a big challenge for Cotto but I still think he can beat Williams. He is the superior boxer and Williams, but the height might be a big factor, Cotto needs to be faster and have a better stamina in this division where there are a lot of opponents bigger than him.

Williams have the same work rate as Margarito, But that is when Comparisons end. Margo, hits Harder than Williams, have a 100+ times better chin than Williams. Have a better offensive arsenal( Thats how he distributes his punches) And he knows how to use is advantages. for cotto it would be eaiser to go in and out, and hit Williams to the body. but mostley i think cotto can presure Williams and Ko Him in the later rounds.

Cotto would probably KO Williams with a ferrocious left hook to the body, liken in the 10.
