Well, I can hardly be considered "unbiased", but I think the Performance of the Year has to be Nate Campbell against Juan Diaz, not only just for the outcome, but for HOW he beat him.

I think, even in losing, Cotto gave a hell of a performance against Margarito. He tried everything, Margarito was just too much.

Was it Margarito's late round rally and stopping P4P Cotto?

What about Pacquiao's destruction of David Diaz?

Or JMM's out of nowhere stoppage of Casamayor?

Name some, maybe we can get a poll going.
I'll go with Pac Man followed by JMM. Different fights but very good ones. Oh and Margarito too. dunno where to put him but that was a hell of a performance!

Definitely Margarito. He just would not be beaten that night.

Runners up are Pacquiao's impressive blowout of David Diaz, and Marquez's schooling and ultimate stoppage of Casamayor.

margarito for me, it was also my favourite fight of the year. Both performed admirably and gave it their all.

That fight is what boxing is all about, laying it all on the line.
