Before the Lacy fight, Calzaghe was known as an unreliable person, he would frequently pull out of fights and public engagements. Most of the public had never heard of him (7 years as champ and no-one knows who you are? Why do you think that is?). He was lucky he was promoted on Sky and even then he wasn't PPV, he was 'another fighter who happens to have a title'. He made his fortune when ITV took up the rights to host boxing and to host his bout against Jeff Lacy (where he was admittedly the top bill), and even then it was only because of Amir Khan who they wanted to coverage so badly when he turned professional.

What Warren is saying is probably the truth.
