Margarito's performance against Johnson was nothing to laugh at but the Golden Johnson jokes were funny for a while I admit.

Williams hasn't been known for being a puncher aside from his recent first round KO win over Quintana so it was somewhat impressive. He is really improving all the time.

A punch is something he had lacked before, seeing a journeyman on 24 hours notice (forgot his name) take his best shots didn't seem promising.
Quintana also shook Paul's punches off in the first fight, it seemed as if he was just slapping with his hooks. That's not the case anymore.

Antonio Margarito went in against Golden Johnson. A fringe level fighter who has actually beaten decent competition such as Oscar Diaz, Freddy Hernandez, and Juan Lazcano, among others. Margarito goes in, makes him look silly in 1 round and people mock Margarito for beating up some inferior fighter.

Paul Williams goes into this fight against a complete Bum who has only fought Andy Ward and no other noteworthy opponents. Williams stops him in 1 round and everyone praises Williams, thinks he is the best, and Tommy hearns comparison are unleashed

just more proof that margarito is the most hated fighter on the boxing scene because he keeps exposing everyone favorite fighters because they either duck him or get knocked out. its just plain and basic common sense.

No one is criticizing for taking that fight, its the fact that he is being over hyped BECAUSE of that fight that is the issue here. You even read yourself when these same kids criticizing Cotto for fighting Gomez who had been fighting at MW. Cotto managed to give Gomez his first KD and KO and that "wasnt impressive" at all. Gomez is a far more accomplished fighter than Kole yet Williams is now seen as the biggest threat to ANY division because he moved to the weight class he started out in and beat the all mighty Kole? ha

Williams took that fight since Margarito didn't want to fight him, it should've been Margarito in there with him but as his manager said, now its Paul's time to wait.

Different circumstances but Paul aint gettin no praises from me for beating some1 I don't even know. But I still think Paul beats Margarito if they fight again.

He beat Marg the first time and I see him beating him again, I don't think that's too far fetched and I can see him also doing well at 154. I just want to see Marg and Paul fight again so we can know who is the best at WW.

I definitely agree about Williams sitting on his punches more. It makes him much more dangerous.
