That's definitely expected. I expect to also be red k'd for being amused by this.

Short hooks are just nasty when they connect clean.

Left hooks have a high KO success rate. That **** can be more effective then a right hand IMO.

I think it's mainly because a left hook travels a shorter distance than a right hand and I think it's typically easier to get awesome leverage from a hook than a right hand. IMO right hands are more difficult to master.

It's how quick the punch gets there and therefore lands more often, in part, but more importantly, it's the angle it's coming in. The easiest way to knock someone out is to clip them on the chin at a 90 degree angle and cause their head to snap violently to the side. This sloshes their brain around inside their cranium violently, causing a concussion, and turns out the light switch very effectively. I've had to knock a violently drunk friend out a few times (this was years ago, during my youth) this way, and I could turn out his lights without even bruising his jaw. There are other, less risky ways to put someone to sleep, but this guy was too big for me to wrestle around with and cut off the blood supply to his brain, even drunk.

He doesn't drink anymore....I actually kind of miss those days.

yo man it was a great punch by Donaire, PERFECTLY timed. I can't take anything anyway from him, Vic always says " I beat myself, I didn't prepare, I underestimated him, I wasn't focus on him" (and that is the honest truth) but yo you still got caught and you got caught with a perfect punch at the perfect time.
