tell me, what has Kessler done to be considered even a 'solid' fighter? Most of the people he beat I didn't even know who they were untill all the Welsh fans started mentioning them everyday.
Kessler is extremely overated because he was undefeated at the time he fought zagh..undefeated seems to be the only thing you clowns look at in terms of greatness. To me, if someone is undefeated, then they are simply untested.
The greatest fighters always have a few losses too because they don't duck anybody.
Anyway, this should put to rest the Kessler lovefest. Guys, it's not about where you're from. We're all boxing fans and, therefore, should expect the best from every fighter. And I hope Kessler tests himself. I do. Cuz I'm a fan.
I've got a debate to watch now.Comment

The only fans who rate Kessler are the Brits. Look at the facts, Kessler won his titles from Beyer and Siaca, his best win was Mundine - Mundine is the guy who was knocked out by Sven Ottke. Kessler was hurt in his last fight against some bum and he is next fighting in Germany. Seriously, forget about Kessler. Hopkins was Calzaghe's biggest fight and considering Hopkins was 43 (ancient) and several years past his best, I still had Hopkins beating Calzaghe. One thing was clear though, a prime Hopkins would have easily beaten Calzaghe. They say Joke landed 230 slaps, most were shoulder and elbow shots, Hopkins didn't have a mark on him. Calzaghe is a joke, paper champion, as good as Sven Ottke.Comment

90% of what you posted, are just stats. Stats are meaningless without real Meat in them. 21 defenses over 11 years? Sure and 15 of them were tomato cans. Suddenly it is not so impressive is it?
When Joe won the title, the 168lb division had a couple decent resident fighters, and a couple once very good fighters who were buoyant mainly because the supporting base was nothing but a bunch of journeyman with padded records. Everyone else used the division as a stepping stone. The division slowly and continues to improve, but you will still see the Sartisan's get thrown into the mix without ever fighting a live opponent and will never amount to anything. Kessler basically had to risk injuring himself and fight a journeyman to grab a strap. Is that good for Kessler or Boxing? Hell no! Kessler is still stuck waiting for another opportunity by wasting his time.
I'm not slamming Joe, but I will never consider him great with what he has accomplished so far. Stats do not equal automatic greatness. If it was Ottke would be considered an all time great also. You want greatness? You have to go after greatness.Comment

And no it's not only british guys who like Kessler. Trust me on that one. But tbh. you are a pretty poor debater.Comment

I can't believe the **** Calzaghe gets on this site. He's not the most skillful of fighters in the sport but he's probably the toughest pound for pound in the sport. In my opinion he should have come to America sooner but in fairness to the chap he's still unbeaten he has fought some good fighters along the way who all of a sudden become terrible after he beats them. Pavlik won't get past Hopkins for starters but even if he was to get the lucky k.o he doesn't have the skill to beat Calzaghe. Kessler won't lose another fight for a long time eitherComment
