10 or so of Calzaghe's defenses...

    Get the idea?

Bum, bum, another bum, bum, bum, etc. etc.
Hmmm, so you've seen Calzaghe fight nearly every opponent who most don't bother defending, but not any of his bigger fights. Strange.

Do I take it you regard every opponent Roy Jones faced at 160 and 168 outside of his title wins is a bum too? How about nearly every single one of Hopkins opponents? You have to be consistent.

      Big difference.
Joe Calzaghe is a two weight world champion who has never lost. Roy Jones is a four weight world champion who has lost three times legitimately.

      Not so much difference.

          Leave Hopkins alone.

Maybe you should've seen Hopkins, Kessler, Lacy and Bika too?

You've probably seen those too. If you've seen so many fights and call him a bum, it's cool, it's easy to rate you as a no-boxing-knowledge-kiddo.

Btw. no I'm not from UK, I'm from Denmark, same nation as Mikkel Kessler, who got beaten by Joe Calzaghe. That is true boxing skills, when you are able to reverse fans, and Joe is capable of doing that.

It's so ridiculess, I wonder if it's because he is white.
You are way off. Many here, that you accuse to be American, like me for example, are not even American.

Many of you in the UK who like Joe, are great posters. The ones who have Joe elevated to all time great status, are simply delusional.

If Joe was not from the UK, but lets say the States, you would not even bat an eye at him because 90% of his career was wasted. Deep down you know it. The 10% on his resume are very good results though. Joe was a good champion and that is how it is. He has beaten some very good fighters. He has also fought a lot of unworthy opponents to make extra cash, but that will not elevate him hear great. His record is nothing special at all.

As an amateur Joe Calzaghe won the British ABA title three years consecutively, in three consecutive weight divisions. As a professional, he is currently the Ring champion of two weight divisions simultaneously, the first boxer ever to achieve this. He is undefeated in a fifteen year professional career, including 11 years as world champion, during his reign at which he amassed 21 title defences, defeated the former WBA, IBF and WBC (twice) champions. He then went on to unify the 'division by beating two young, prime champions while he himself was in his thirties. He then stepped up and won the already mentioned LHW Ring belt in his first fight at LHW against a P4P top ten boxer. If he defeats Roy Jones he will join Marciano as one of the very few elite boxers to retire undefeated.

To say Joe Calzaghe is 'nothing special at all' is absolutely ludicrous.

I'm not from the UK, and if Joe was from America I'd still rate him as the best boxer today, and also as an all-time-great, and no that is not delusional.

When people are saying stuff like "Roy would beat Joe in his prime." it's so meaningless, we'll never find out, so why even write it? It's not an argument, it's nothing. What matters is the fight now. I bet Roy Jones Jr. believes he can win, otherwise he wouldn't have picked the challenge.
Calling him shot is just.... I won't even start typing it. I bet he is able to win over 90 % of all boxers in SMW and LHW. Just like Bernard Hopkins, who in a lot of peoples mind, have the advantage over Kelly Pavlik. Calzaghe beating RJJ, would elevate him to the status of an alltimegreat. No doubt.

Furthermore he is rated as the P4P #2 or #1, in most boxing experts opinion. So saying he is a bum (I know that you did not) is just sooo far off.
