Pep is better because he had a greater resume and more longevity.

Marciano may have gone 49 fights without a loss but Pep was undefeated in his first 62. When Pep did lose to the lightweight champion of his time, he went another 73 fights without being defeated until he lost to Sandy Saddler. He also survived a near career ending plane crash.

Overall, I would have to agree Pep was the greater fighter, but because so many people unfairly discredit Rocky, I hate to vote against him.

Rocky was a great Heavy but Pep has some of the best defensive moves ever, he was wayyy ahead of his time
