I liked him even though we disagreed a lot.

He did construct very long well written posts (in terms of structure). In content? Not so much. He was very sensitive; got very upset easily, and admitted he only started watching boxing recently.

As such it was odd that he'd write long novels extolling the virtues of fighters he didn't know much about.

But he was reasonable at least, or at least pretended to be-which is rare around here and counts for something.
