So has Paul Williams finally learned how to sit down on his punches?

Wow, two first round KOs in a row! He seems to be sitting down on his shots now; turning them over correctly & ****. Looks like he's putting his weight into the shots now. Before he looked like he just wanted to throw as many punches as he could per round resulting in a lot of arm punching. Now he looks like he's getting every bit of leverage out of his 6'2'' frame. Good 4 him.

I think one could see that from the second Quintana fight already.

His approach may differ just a bit. He's pit patted a lot. But the last two fights have seen him throw with conviction.

I agree, I know there's not much to base it on, with two first round KO's but, he does seem a bit more patient. With that type of body, he can get so much leverage and power on his shots if thrown correctly. He seems to be doing that now. It will be interesting to see him against a top fighter again.

Yeah, he's not moving around as much, he's standing taller, not giving up his height as much, his jab has gotten more authoritative, he's not just pushing his shots out there, his overall punching technique has improved a lot. His defense still needs work though.

He has good, natural movement, body and head. He had no amateur career basically. He'll only get better and better.

He has pretty good foot and upper body movement, not so much head movement, which is why he gets hit, he also keeps his hands too low although that seems to have improved as well. I agree, he'll just keep getting better.

Yeah you're right, but so far his chin has stood up. Obviously MW sluggers are a different animal.

Definitely, his chin is very good for a welterweight, don't really know how it would hold up at middleweight.
