But how good was Kolle's jaw? Anyone know?
Kolle is not very good at all. He went some rounds with Ward and was competitive in spots and was stopped on cuts. The announcers said Matt Vanda knocked him down but I did not see that fight. Comming up from 147 to lay a dude out that has fought his whole career at middle, is fairly noteworthy. Williams still has the same flaws he always had though except now it appears he can really punch. He is to easy to hit, gives up his height to easy, and in general has poor boxing technique.

True but it was Williams' first at middleweight against a guy with a winning record and Kolle was at about the same stage as a professional as Ward was when they fought.

I don't think Abraham would maul Williams. Maybe viciously knock him out, but Williams would be competitive with him before then.

He loses to Pavlik and Winky though. He could possibly beat Strum.

Who knows. I can't tell how good a guy is when he's asleep on the canvas.

he'd only been down once in all his fights...

that being said its a good win for williams, regarless of the opposition based on the way he performed

Andy Kolle <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< Gary Lockett. And to think, Margarito got tons of flack for fighting Golden Johnson.

For the most part he has a padded record, but he gave Andre Ward a tough fight, and he beat a solid fighter in Vanda. Williams blowing him out in 1 round at 160 is impressive, but its not as impressive as the Quintana fight for me.
