He did, you must have missed it. Pavlik is tailor made for BHop, perfect fight for his one last trick. Although after he's done schooling my main man Pav, I think he'll take on the winner of Jones-Calzags. We'll also see the difference in Hopkins' stamina fighting twice a year rather than when he fights once a year. He looked drastically older in his Winky fight than 1 year before, and older still a year later in his Calzaghe fight. Given that training camps and fights are killing his body along with old age, ring rust and staying out of fighting shape (just cause he comes into camp at 170 doesn't mean he's in fighting 170 shape) is not helping his performance on fight night.

I am really one of the biggest fans of Hopkins you will find, the man is one of the all time great middleweight fighters that ever lived.
At his age, and after his showing against Calzaghe, the man isnt getting any younger. Kelly Pavlik is a monster and I dont think Hopkins will be able to beat him this late in the game.

Thats my point, the man has been getting farther and farther past his prime since Taylor. Pavlik is better than Taylor, and Hopkins is an older man than then.

I kinda want Bernard to lose, because it is time for him to step aside for the new generation. If somehow Pavlik was able to stop him though, I would not like that too much at all. Bernard is such a throwback, I just do not want to see him go out like that. I want to see him give Pavlik the hardest fight of his life, to teach the young guy some tricks of the trade.

This fight's going to be interesting for sure. Pavlik definatley doesn't have a height advantage either, so it will be interesting to see how that plays into Hopkins squaring up on Kelly.
