Is the same job being done under the same circumstances? That's the question. Who was at more of an advantage/disadvantage coming into the fight.

Pac would get more credit because he will have to win that fight in a agressive style. We all know Pac can not out skill, box or think De la Hoya in this match-up.

I voted Pac but it must be said Floyd also should get a ton of credit for beating him. Age difference was 4 years for Floyd. Oscar got all other advantages possible, you can think of: Size, ring and gloves size, money, crowd support and good vibes (Oscar was fresh from a Ricardo Mayorga KO victory). It was huge. The world awaits (Floyd's downfall) was omitted but that was the plan. Kinda brings back Joe Louis best years where they just couldn't find anyone to beat him and they even tried people who weren't fighters but just huge guys to that purpose. Basically that was the WORLD (and using the world word here is an abuse since that world didn't represent 5% of the world, just allot of people hating on Floyd) against Floyd. Floyd won. He didn't get much bigger than that for Floyd although the Hatton victory was also very good.

              Example:

Which fight was more entertaining....Floyd/Baldo or Marquez/Vasquez? LOL. Can u believe that Floyd/Baldo actually recieved a few votes!

You're right about that, I remember seeing that one and asking myself, wtf, how can that even be debatable? But you had to have been almost 100% that Pac is going to get more credit.
Floyd was the favorite, I think by like 2/1, he was in his prime, had proved himself from 130 to 140 and was the 147 pound champ, when he fought Oscar.
Pacquiao is the underdog and will be fighting for the first time 12 pounds north of where he last fought, where he'd only fought once beating a weak champion. The closest division he last proved himself was 130. I even saw a popular boxing writer saying if Manny wins he'd make the ATG lists.

Obviously Pacquiao cause of where he started and because Pacquiao has never even fought at welterweight while floyd had at least a handful of fights at welterweight. its not even close its not a knock of floyd its just the circumstances in this fight that lead to Pac being praised a hero if he wins this fight

no there were alot of people that thought floyd was going to lose.. oscar was over 160 pounds when they fought and floyd was at 147.. fought at oscars choice of venue, ring, gloves, etc.. i think floyd should get more credit than pac, but due to the hatred of floyd by many pac will get more credit
