Who is/was a better representive of the pfp#1 title?

It has to be between Mayweather and Jones. Pac has only fought 1 time since earning the P4P #1 spot, against David Diaz. Mayweather and Jones reigned at P4P #1 for long periods, so I don't see how you can rank Pacs 1 fight against their whole reigns.
I would have to go with Roy though, he dominated LHW, and even jumped to HW to prove his skills against a rugged tough fighter like Ruiz.Comment

EDIT-
Floyd became P4P #1 on July 18, 2005. In his reign he fought:
Sharmba Mitchell
Zab Judah
Carlos Manuel Baldomir
Oscar De La Hoya
Ricky Hatton
Still looking on Roy though.Last edited by T-97; 09-24-2008, 02:13 PM.Comment

Pac. Here is why. He is exciting to watch. You can call a friend over to watch a Pac fight and its probrbly gonna be exciting. Pac also fights everyone they put in front of him. Pac wont duck anyone. Clearly. Pac is likeable, and fans want to see him do well. Next would be Roy, just because in his prime he was superhuman, and who doesnt like a superhuman to be the p4p guy? Next would be Floyd. An AMAZING fighter, but he wasnt likeable, didnt bring excitment to the fans (who would ever call a non boxing fan over to watch Floyd if you were trying to make them a fan?) and clearly didnt take any risks in who he fought.Comment

I voted Pac, because he takes more risks than the others imo. He's a true boxer, wants to test himself as a boxer first and foremost. That has to be the most important thing and makes him a great amabassodor for the sport.
Can't deny characters like Roy and Mayweather were also good but in other ways.Comment

if i were to hang with a 'casual fan' and want him to witness what type of superior athletes boxing can produce, i'd have him watch Roy...
if i were to try to make that 'casual fan' hooked, i'd make him watch PAC..
if i were to try to make that 'casual fan' understand the sweet science's beauty, i'd make him watch Floyd
as far as representing the sport, Roy's dominance in his prime would get the nod for me....you can outclass tomato cans but Roy put on a showComment
