I found him horrible to watch in the 2nd half of the Judah fight, Baldo, Oscar and Hatton fight apart from the last few rounds where he really took over. Everything else at 147 was damn near unwatchable. Mitchell was never a world class opponent.

I dont find incredible skills boring.

Just as i dont find all out slugfests always exciting.

I dont see how someone can say Pea didnt sit down enough when he was one of the few "slick" fighters who didnt mind being in the pocket so much. He would literally own people at their own game when he fought inside

I seen a past Whitiker do his thing, and i thought at the time he was boring. Except his fights with Rivera and a few others were exciting.

Jones was very exciting then he moved up in weight and became cautious as a mf, lead to many borring fights.

Mayweather was exciting to watch at 130 but then as he moved up he picked less dangerous fighters to fight so made him not that exciting.

I aggree with eaner, Whitker did stay in the pocket but so did Mayweather at times and Roy he would mostly try and do his thing off the ropes. Roys power is what made him the fighter he is, thats why he was able to do some many errors and get away with them, people respect Roys power, not his skills - as a fighter.

I find all three entertaining. Maybe not exciting in the way an Arturo Gatti was exciting, but watching them display their brilliant ability was entertaining. Whitaker is my favorite fighter ever. I think he's one of the few fighters who carried a "defense first" approach with a ton of personality and character in the ring. I never grew tired of seeing him slip, duck, dodge and block his opponents punches, only to clinch and throw a little punch behind his back while smirking.

Great post. If Floyd traded with Oscar and Baldo, that wouldn't be smart - and ring intelligence was always Floyd's best attribute.

If he fought another man's fight, he wouldn't be great.

no one is asking him to stay inside and **** with his oponents just sustain his attacks a bit more he seems to enjoy displaying his defensive skill to much IMO which is fine i supose but i think that is why he looks less excting at the higher weights

                  G Hernandez,Burton,Angel Manfredy,Justin Juuko,Carlos Gerena, that is the Floyd i liked watching

Jones has the most highlight reels. I really didn't find any of them boring. At least not consistently boring.

Whitaker (whom I find the least entertaining of the 3) had a high workrate and traded more in the pocket than often given credit for, and had some entertaining bouts. The only Mayweather bouts of the 2000s that I found dull were Goyo Vargas, Carlos Baldomir, and Jose Luis Castillo 2. The DLH, C. Hernandez, and Sosa fights were so-so. The rest were okay to good.
