    why wasn't there an immediate rematch between tyson and douglas, after the first?

    tyson fought henry tillman 4 months later, and douglas fought holy 8 months later.was the holyfield fight all ready signed?

    Douglas ballooned to 400lbs after his loss to Evander so it was medically/physically impossible.

      He's asking why Holyfield got the shot instead of a rematch with Tyson. I'm wondering the same thing

        I cant remember why now but there was a reason, Anyway i am 99% sure Tyson would have won the rematch looking at the shape Douglas came in against Holyfield.

          becasue holyfield had a contract that he would fight the winner of that fight and douglas retired for 6 years after the holyfield fight.
