Did Oscar Delahoya Really Avoid Kostya Tszyu at 140?

I always hear boxing elitist writers mention this saying he avoided kostya like the plague.

But I think they are just oscar haters because oscar was a good looking handsome guy who could fight and it hurt them that a pretty boy could kick their butt.

No. He was supposed to fight DLH at 147 I believe after Phillips, he lost that one and the DLH fight went out the window.

No, I think the combination of other big money fights and his out-growing the division were to blame for the fight never happening.

People use that excuse for Mayweather too, its not really valid cos Tszyu came back, won the undisputed 140 title again and was calling out Oscar and Floyd before he got near Hatton.

I wouldnt say Oscar ducked him cos Oscar fought stellar competition. But Tyszu was a dangerous yet unglamourous fight for a lot of the top guys around at the time.

              Again, we'll never really know.

Kostya looked past Phillips and lost, if he hadn't Oscar-Tszyu would have happened. I'm not sure who i'd favour to win.

Yeah everybody ducked Kostya....get the **** outta here man.

Oscar wouldve broke his head, Floyd wouldve boxed his braid off.
