    1. Too many non-competitive fights being made because contenders are afraid to fight other contenders. Too much emphasis on a loss by fans and promoters alike. To me, this is by far the biggest problem in boxing.

    2. Inactivity - there should be a rule that a titleholder needs three title defenses per year, and that boxers must fight at least three or four times per year to be ranked by an ABC. If casual fans see fighters more often, they will become more interested. There have been many inactive boxers in the heavyweight division, especially Don King's fighters.

    3. (tie) Fewer sanctioning organizations are needed - the four ABCs should become two. If not, the four existing organizations should co-operate in making unification fights.

    3. (tie) It would be better if the fighters weighed in the same day as the fight, so they be more likely to fight at their natural weight instead of the unhealthy weight-draining and rehydrating.

id like your *HONEST* three choices, feel more than free to leave any comments beside each one as it would help me out alot!
The talent pool sucks, and the coaching sucks. Too many PPV events that end up being mismatches. Not enough great matchups at the highest level.

The public can only be fooled for so long,
K*ng got spoiled with Tyson lunching on bums because people paid to watch it. Now the other promoters have taken notes and its never been the same since!

              1. Weight variations. When in fight weights can mean fighting a guy effectively in another weight division, what's the point in those weight divisions in the first place. Totally undermined, another un-necessarly variable factor in fights, and dangerous.

              2. Too many sanctioning bodies and belts. It's impossible to get a consensus on rankings when there's so much variation from one body to another. There's also far too much politics with so many bodies and belts, which gets in the way of fights being made.

              3. Not enough fights per year, and not always the right ones. Even because of politics per above, money issues which could be resolved, and guys being avoided which more kept to mandatories could address.

                1. The constant screwing of future talent by putting mediocre matches on the PPV to make the headline look better.

                2. The Deathly fear of losing.

                3. Promoters behind on the times in the world of PR.

Exactly, anyone who said fighters ducking other fighters is wrong. I think on the whole most fighters out there want to be the best and fight anyone who's put in front of them, it's the promoters who duck fights.

is to many divisions really a bad thing....it give fighters more chance's for a world title and a different weight class's would be nice for unexposed fighters
