Skelton would be a very difficult opponent for Haye.

He actually uses MMA techniques when boxing. I've seen him try to put a sleeper hold on an opponent and he put McDermott down by using his weight against him, like in Judo. He knows how to hit while holding his opponents arm, although Haye does that too (I notice British fighters do this more than others). Skelton makes for ugly fights, and as was previously said, Haye would prefer an opponent he can look good against. Stamina would be an issue for Haye with Skelton, since he likes to lean on his opponents (like John Ruiz does) and tire them out.

Skelton has never been down in his boxing career, but he was knocked out cold when he was in MMA.
