roy jones best wepon against southpaw calzaghe

lead left hook or right hand lead?

I think it will be the left hook that causes calzaghe all the trouble, he has never seen a left hook like it and thrown from such unorthodox angles. it will take him until round 6 to adapt.

I think counter right hand with a active guy like Calzaghe, and I think his jab will be a good punch for him in this fight as well.

At this stage in his career, I'm more concerned about his his best defense than the best weapon.

the lead right hand when joes coming straight forward(like he does in every fight)

every punch is a danger punch to joe, he'll shake him up with his jab

The right hand by far. Calzaghe has always been open to that shot, all through his career. But no one has ever managed to exploit it enough to win. Hopkins showed what can be done with a few right hand counters and good defensive movement.

i think u under estimate calzaghes chin but i dnt care wat punches he has because calzaghe will always adapt so he needs to focus on gettin some real power in hes punches and as he is pretty much godlike with hes hand speed im sure he could sacrifice just a tiny lil bit to b able to keep calzaghe off

no i just dont think calzaghes ever been hit, hes not really faced anyone good enough to find his chin - or good enough to finish him off - if roy gets him hurt he'll know what to do

roy found bernard hopkins chin, whos a much more tricky fighter than joe... he might not be in his prime but hes still the same man - hes still got the same boxing brain, the only thing he hasnt got is the legs - but he dont need legs because joe will find him, joe wont stop coming forward

roy will eventually break joes rythm down

Gotta be the lead right hand, that's the only thing i see troubling Calzaghe, and i can only see him getting troubled by it in the early rounds. After he's adapted to it (he's not going to get knocked out) he will just make the fight all Calzaghe and will win the decision.

This is an interesting fight solely because Calzaghe poses no power threat. Jones' hands haven't deteriorated that drastically - it will be interesting to see if that offense can carry him.

Roy fans are pretty deluded. Calzaghe has "no power" and "no chin" and comes "straight forward"? Do you guys even watch boxing or do you just watch youtube vids called things like "Roy Jones p4p yawlz"?
