    Chad Dawson vs. Joe Calzaghe

Does anyone actually think that Dawson beats Calzaghe?

He is ridiculously easy to hit, and doesn't seem to do well when he is under pressure by a multitude of punches coming his way.

Calzaghe, on the other hand, has shown that he is the master of adaptation, so even if Dawson's quickness and reliance on the jab is getting to him, he has shown in the past that he does know how to switch gears.

    Who disagrees and why?

By the way, I'd mention Dawson's bad chin, but... I don't think Calzaghe can do much in the way of punching power to exploit that.

Am I allowed to agree? Dawson has the best chance of anyone because he's probably faster than Joe, and Joe isn't really a LHW, but personally i think Calzaghe gives him fits.

I would also very much like to see it- two fast, undefeated southpaws who always come to big fights prepared. Dawson has not had that "mega fight" yet and he deserves one, but unfortunately, I doubt that this fight will happen for a few reasons:

Joe Calzaghe already has a pay-per view date with Roy Jones, Jr.

Chad Dawson will face Antonio Tarver.

Chad Dawson is a much more dangerous opponent for Calzaghe than Jones is(it's true), and he brings WAY less money to the table than Roy does (even if Jones is long removed from his best days).

It would be a good match between the true champion of the division (Calzaghe) and arguably best titleholder in the division (Dawson), but it will not happen anytime soon. Perhaps, if Calzaghe beats Jones, then the match will happen, but even then, I doubt it because more people have been clamoring for Calzaghe to fight middleweight champion Kelly Pavlik.

Dawson is either green or just incomplete. Forget him, talk Kelly Pavlik. Pavlik is closer to a complete fighter than Dawson is and even so he can still get better. That said i'd still pick Dawson just because i can't stand Calzaghe... His fans are unbearable (most of them). He also acts like a complete ******* and just looks gay imo.

Little do they know. Americans should follow their own boxers more closely.

Who knows though, maybe Dawson will lose to Tarver?

That won't happen. The only chance that would happen it would be Kelly losing to Hoppkins which won't happen and even if it did, Slappy would just retire as Dawson doesn't bring the big money yet. Still it's wise of Dawson to call him out strongly because then no one can say Dawson never did (if Dawson is to become great, which is unlikely). Anyway Kelly Pavlik has a much better chance at fighting Slappy and is certain to kick ass.

I think Dawson would cause Calzaghe trouble, but I think that Calzaghe speed and angles would win it. I think Dawson is probably the most likely to beat Calzaghe tbh.

i think dawson is a complete pakage.fact is,joe barely beat an ol ass hop.dawson would bring a whole new dimension to cal.he's a bigger better southpaw version of kessler.as far as his beard is concerned, he did way too much to early on in that fight, just like cotto vs marga.joe is without a doubt class, but i think dawson beats him.
