If he can pull it off, he'll become a legend a second time 'round. If he doesn't, he gets TKO'd late, but hell.....that's nothing to be embarassed about against Calzaghe. If it were me, I'd go for it. Better to go out swinging, knowing you took the chance, than to fade into mediocrity after 12 rounds of doing just enough to lose without looking like a fool.
Uh, just so you know...Jones is no Manfredo.

Likewise, Calzaghe is no Prince Badi Ajamu.

I think people are underestimating Roy Jones Jr. Even in a loss(although I'm picking him to win), I bet he'll do better than expected.

Oh, I agree. In fact, it wouldn't surprise me if Jones puts Zaggs' butt on the canvas once, early. It'll be competetive throughout, with Jones being outworked (especially in later rounds) just enough to cost him the round. I have doubts as to whether he'll win a round after the 5th or 6th, though he may rally in the 11th or 12th and take either, maybe even both. I'm going to guess, tentatively, that the fight will end with a final tally of 7 rounds to 5, maybe even 8 to 4 (though that might be a bit too far), and that everyone will say Jones put on a great performance, showed moments of brilliance, but just didn't do enough of it to pull off the win. Not an embarassing loss, just a loss to a guy who always wins.

Personally, like I said in the other post, if I were Roy, I'd go for broke. He's probably the only guy on Earth with the handspeed and accuracy to stand a serious chance of getting Zaggs in enough trouble that a stoppage is a possibility, and I'd ****ing hate to see him just not make that attempt. So, who cares if, because he wasted the gas early going for a KO, he gets TKO'd himself? I wouldn't think less of him at all...in fact, if he did let it all hang out early, I'd respect him alot more even than I do now. It would show that, not only was he physically gifted, he was courageous as well.

It would be funny to see Calzaghe get KO'd in the first, Hatton, Khan then Calzaghe.. doubt it happens but it would be entertaining to see the aftermath on the forums.

Beg pardon? Dunno anything about it. Did you ask? I'm not really that attuned to the inner workings of this forum. I have ALL avatars and signatures turned off because...well, too many are outright vulgar (except those with the hot chicks..those are OK), and too many are just plain ******. As for Friends...I had someone request to be added a week or two back, can't remember who. Was that you? I thought I ok'd it.
